Art in the Garden Tour Sept. 24Sponsored by Central California Art Association
Central California Art Association at the Mistlin Gallery is hosting a fundraising tour, "Art in the Garden," on Saturday September 24 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The tour includes seven gardens in the La Loma and Graceada Park area along with Mistlin Gallery and Queen Bean in downtown Modesto. Forty artists ranging from painters, photographers, jewelers and sculptors, will be demonstrating and selling their art. Refreshments and music are provided at locations in the self-guided tour. Gloria Scott Band will play from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at a tour spot. A donation of $20 provides a map of the tour and is available at Mistlin Gallery, 1015 J Street, Modesto, phone toll free 888-236-2523 for information. Henrietta has tickets to sell, call her at 521-8336. Scenic, Morris and West Turf Nurseries also have tour maps.
Artists showing their work include Lisa Sanders, Nikki Sanders, Betty Jean Reynolds, Henrietta Sparkman, Steve Mudge, Phonsie Bates, Mary Jane Kiskinen, Suzanne, McCaslin, Jennifer Macado, Pam Ackles, Mark Holden, Randy Crimmel, Alice Richards, Russ Ownes, Tony Pooler, Michelle Tucker, Brian Swander, Jim Christiansen, Milt Bullard, Suzanne Staud, Barbara Salerno, Linda Ohlson, Janet Hardie, Cheryl Brown, Lori Sala, Karleen Ashby, Rhett Regina Owings, Ruth McKensie, Dan Petersen, Nancy Bassitt, Mary Bucknam, and Ed Cesena. Proceeds from the tour support the operation of the Mistlin Gallery which exhibits regional art shows, provides art education and cultural opportunities in the community. Mistlin Gallery is part of Third Thursday Art Walk and generates sales for surrounding restaurants, art stores and businesses. CCAA is a 501(c) non-profit organization and donations are tax deductible. Tickets may also be purchased at each art and garden site. Looking forward to seeing you!
