Regional Change and Real Life Solutions

In tough financial times, local governments are looking for new ways to reduce costs. At the Great Valley Center's annual conference May 6-7, there will be discussions of break through solutions, including how cities in the Central Valley are finding new ways to work together. One break out session will focus on an innovative collaboration between several cities who are joining together to upgrade their water treatment and send some of it to the westside of the county, while also generating new revenue for their cities.

We'll also release a new guidebook to help cities grow their tree canopy, and each attendee will receive a copy of 2020 Visions for the Central Valley, featuring six experts looking at the next decade in the Central Valley. This Heyday Press book will be released at the conference.

Great Valley Center has been making a difference. Our work stretches from Redding to Bakersfield as we bring people and organizations together to make positive change. We look out for the interests of all who live, work, and invest in California's Central Valley.

Sincerely,

David H. Hosley
President
