PADDLE TO THE SEA 2010 T-shirt Design Contest

Do you like to draw? Would you like to see your artwork support an excellent cause? Designs are being accepted now for the Paddle To The Sea 2010 T-shirt Design Contest. All ages and artistic abilities are encouraged to participate.
Two designs will be chosen to be voted on to grace the front of our Paddle To The Sea 2010 official t-shirt. The two artists whose designs are chosen will receive a complimentary 1-year membership to the Tuolumne River Trust, and complimentary registration for Paddle To The Sea 2010. The contest winner will also receive entry into our raffle for top-of-the-line prizes, name recognition wherever the design is used, and 2 Paddle To The Sea t-shirts.

Please view the artwork guildlines below prior to submitting your work.

Entries must be received in our San Francisco office by February 22, 2010.

Good luck!
2-ways to submit your design:
  1. Email your design in a digitized format to karyn@tuolumne.org
  2. Mail your design to:
    T-shirt Design Competition
    Tuolumne River Trust
111 New Montgomery Street, Suite 205
    San Francisco, CA 94105
Designs will be selected based on how well they depict the overall theme of Paddle To The Sea, as well as how well they link the Tuolumne River to the people and regions that depend on it.
ARTWORK SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Because your design will be turned into our official Paddle To The Sea 2010 t-shirt, please take care to follow these guidelines to insure your design will look impeccable on our shirts. Your artwork may be provided in either of the following formats.

Digital artwork
Images created in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Freehand, Adobe Acrobat Reader, are preferred by t-shirt printers over mechanical and hand-drawn artwork for quality of the end result and efficiency. If your digital artwork file ends with any of these suffixes, it can be used to properly prepare your art:.ai, .bmp, .eps, .gif, .pct, .pdf, .psd, .tiff. The standard resolution for artwork is 300 dpi (dots per inch).

Hand-drawn artwork
A logo that's been drawn by hand is a great starting point, but it will need to be digitized and modified for practical use. Artwork can be supplied on a sheet of white paper, and should be no larger than 8.5" x 11" as it will require scanning and being brought it into a graphic program. If you choose to mail a hand-drawn design to our San Francisco office please take care to ensure your piece will not be bent or damaged in the mail.

Please send any questions to Karyn Barnes at karyn@tuolumne.org or call (415) 882-7252 ext. 304.
